Job Description
The Communications Officer will conduct domestic and international
stakeholder relations for the organisation. The job-holder will develop domestic and international policy and develop a targeted contact programme with politicians, civil servants, stakeholder organisations and international counterparts.
The Communications Officer will support the Director of Communications on programmes of activity which seek to fulfil the organisation’s vision ‘Through Sport inspire a better world for disabled people’. These currently include an education programme and celebrations of the birth-place of the Paralympics in Stoke Mandeville.
The BPA is the lead organisation responsible for the Paralympic movement in the UK. We focus on creating the best environment for our athletes as part of ParalympicsGB to perform at summer and winter Paralympic Games. With Paralympic sport in the spotlight like never before we believe we can build on that to deliver our vision ‘Through sport inspire a better world for disabled people’.
