Community Sports Coach – Imps in the Community

Job Description
The Imps in the Community are a local charity organisation who is looking to recruit a Full Time Community Sports Coach to lead the management and delivery of the Get Onside Sport Programme.

The Get Onside Sport Programme is a Children in Need funded programme which aims to use sport to get children active within the deprived wards of Lincoln. The funding has been secured for 3 years.

We are looking for a well-motivated individual who can engage children and families in order to meet the outcomes of the project. Alongside the delivery will be the monitoring and evaluation of the programme and completing reports for the funder.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To plan, deliver and evaluate the Get Onside Sports Programme funded by Children in Need. To meet the targets and outcomes set in the funding application each year
2. Work with your line manager and office manager to ensure all aspects of the programme are of a high standard including the administration.
3. To oversee the planning, delivery and evaluations of all delivery sessions within the Get Onside Sports Programme. Provide guidance and assistance where necessary to ensure the correct information is delivered to the correct age groups.
4. To establish positive relationship with links with people of all ages by adhering to the high standard of customer service expected of Trust staff.
5. Support the management of volunteers and contribute to the integration of each volunteer into the Trust team.
6. To ensure the required health & safety, welfare and supervision of participants throughout the session including child protection policies are carried out. To carry out appropriate checks on equipment, venues and facilities and to administer the necessary procedures for any incident or accident that occurs to any participant under the Trusts supervision.
7. To report to the CEO on the progress and development of the Get Onside Sports Programme. Produce written and verbal information when requested.
8. To deputise for other Community Sports Coaches during periods of unavailability in order for the Trust to maintain consistent delivery of programmes.
9. Support the marketing of programme through a variety of media channels ensuring that all marketing is within brand guidelines.
10. The marginal functions of this position have not been included. This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed. An employee will be required to follow any other job-related duties required by their line manager.

General Duties & Responsibilities
1. To undertake any other duties at the request of the line manager, which are commensurate with the role including project work, internal job rotation and absence cover
2. To adhere to the policies and procedures of Lincoln City FC Sport & Education Trust
3. To undertake training as necessary in line with development of the post
4. To actively participate in a development review (appraisal) process and undertake Continuing Professional Development as required
5. To achieve and demonstrate agreed standards of personal and professional development within agreed timescales
6. To be aware of and work to internal service level agreements, corporate standards and external quality standards
7. Promote and share good practice from both internal and external delivery in order to maintain high standards of delivery from Lincoln City FC Sport & Education Trust Staff.
