County Development Officer – England Golf – Cheshire

Job Description
We are looking to appoint two County Development Officers in Cheshire, driving the delivery of the ‘More Players’, ‘More Members’ and ‘Stronger Clubs’ elements of the Cheshire County Action Plan up to 31st March 2017, in line with ‘Raising Our Game’ – The Strategic Plan for England Golf 2014-2017.

To help support the Cheshire Golf Development Group’s objectives (made up of the Men’s Union, Ladies Association and PGA) we require two County Development Officers to join our progressive team, on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2017. This position is externally funded and, subject to performance, may be extended beyond this period.

We are seeking candidates, ideally, with a sports related diploma, sports development experience and a good knowledge of golf and the golf club environment. The positions are home based however, the successful candidates will be required to travel as necessary to meetings (valid driving license & car owner is essential). The county will be split geographically between the two posts. The post-holders will be entitled to travel and other expenses.
