Data Management and Reporting Officer – England Hockey

Job Description
England Hockey is recruiting for a Data Management and Reporting Officer to join its workforce team. With responsibility for assisting in delivering our data management strategy and optimising our customer insight to support commercial opportunities, the successful applicant will own the day to day management of data flows and data integrity within our key systems.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Optimize England Hockey’s database/s in order to structure the data to support data selection and automation for marketing purposes
• Support the delivery of England Hockey’s data management strategy including the gathering of GDPR compliant records, enriching and appending the data and providing cuts of data to be used by the business.
• Own the day to day management of data flows and data integrity within our key systems (Club Portal / Hockeyhub / Clubspark / Dotmailer etc). Work with the Workforce Manager to align systems and processes and simplify as much as possible and update back end data as required.
• Undertake and optimise data cleansing / enhancements
• Handle day to day enquiries about Club Portal logins / data integrity etc.
• Management of data elements of Approved Provider partnerships (‘Charlie Matters’)
• Maintain the “WOMBAT” automated bookings processes for courses/workshops
• Ensure that Club Portal / NG / Schools Segmentation / Surveys etc. follow good practice (technically) and then also own the processes for integrating this data into the right data infra-structures

Support CRM Strategy
• Provide customer insight and analysis for England Hockey’s business functions and customer groups to inform wider business decisions
• Work collaboratively with the relevant departments to improve their data practices, products and/or customer liaison
• Facilitate improved targeting of England Hockey’s marketing and communication campaigns through data extraction, data analysis and segmentation
• Work with marketing and other agency support to maximise the use of data and resolve technical issues
• Assist in delivering business intelligence to the organisation measuring customer engagement

Business Reporting
• Working with the Participation Programmes Manager to develop and implement a suite or reports to assist with the review and improvement of existing products and activities ensuring the regular improvement of England Hockey’s offer.
• To develop insight reporting / dashboards (using Power BI or similar) that helps England Hockey better understand both the needs of the player (B2C) and the provider (B2B) in supporting participation growth.
Administrative Support for the Business
• Answer relevant customer queries (phone or email) relating to customer accounts and/or basic workforce related questions
• Assist with cover for workforce team as required
We are looking for individuals with a computer science degree, coding background (SQL and VBA) or similar experience, excellent attention to detail and a fascination with data, numbers and trends.
