British Cycling delivers a range of programmes and events to inspire a nation and encourage the next generation to choose cycling. It offers a range of educational opportunities that are designed to support our paid and volunteer workforce to develop the skills that they need to deliver these cycling activities. The education department supports the education of coaches, event officials, instructors, leaders and participants across all disciplines, ages and abilities.
We are looking for someone with experience of developing educational content and an understanding of cycling to be part of the development team, playing a key role in the design, development and creation of educational products. They will help to prioritise content generation and take a lead role in specialist subject areas or projects.

The role is all about
Pathways – Advise and contribute to the creation and development of Education pathways, designing learning programmes, creating qualification and assessment specifications, and delivery, assessment and administration materials.
People – develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to deliver a learner-centred education programme, including coaches, event officials, instructors, leaders and participants.
Products – Support the development, implementation, and review of British Cycling’s educational products as required.
Resources – Support the creation, development and review of resources for learners and the wider workforce, including guidelines, manuals, handbooks, course materials and supporting information, including digital content.

What do you need?
• A relevant degree level qualification or equivalent experience in physical education, sport, teaching or education
• An understanding of the cycling landscape, including domestic cycle sport
• Experience in the planning and delivery of training, informed by a broad understanding of approaches to learning and development
• Experience in developing innovative approaches to learning
• Knowledge of digital learning within education and/or sport
• Experience in accreditation, evaluation and quality assurance procedures
• Experience of working with a range of industry experts and professionals to achieve a project outcome
• Ability to analyse and present technical information clearly, using a range of media
• An understanding of the production of digital resources, including photo and video
• Ability to produce resources to support training and orientation for tutor workforce in the delivery of new and existing qualifications
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office products, and digital learning tools and platforms.
• Attention to detail and ability and desire to produce work and products of an exceptionally high standard.
