Job Description
Abingdon School is seeking to appoint a highly committed, enthusiastic and experienced coach, who has played Football to a high standard, as the Director of Football. The Director of Football will join a team of Directors of individual sports who work closely together to provide a well-balanced, aspirational and forward looking sporting programme that has consistency in pedagogy and outreach across the entire sporting programme.
The Abingdon Foundation enjoys first class facilities and staff expertise that will allow the right candidate to be innovative and ambitious in driving the sport to greater success.
The successful candidate should have experience of working with elite athletes and an understanding of player pathways at all levels of the game. The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday to Friday running daily games, lunchtimes and after school sessions, and Saturdays for fixtures and training.
We will happily consider candidates who are currently outside of the teaching profession who are looking to bring their skills into an educational environment.
