Director of Rowing

£30,000 to £35,000 dependent upon experience
Full Time
We require an outstanding practitioner to lead our rowing programme commencing September 2017 who can provide expertise in coaching, manage a substantial rowing programme and lead a team of coaches. The Director of Rowing will take our existing rowing programme to new heights building upon current success to achieve outstanding results on the water.
Bedford Girls’ School has an exceptional reputation for sport and our P.E Department aim for excellence across all disciplines. The successful candidate will need to be passionate about rowing and be able to inspire students to share that passion and dedication to achieve their best.
Based on the banks of the River Ouse, Bedford Girls’ School offers excellent rowing facilities and has a history of rowing success with crews winning at national and regional level.
The successful candidate should hold a recognised British Rowing coaching qualification with a proven track record as a rower and/or coach.
This role will require significant flexibility in approach and willingness to coach students outside of normal school hours, including weekends and holidays, throughout the year.
