Lea Valley High School is looking to appoint a Director of Year for Post 16 from April 2015. We have a thriving sixth form, currently with 240 students on roll. We offer a full range of AS, A2 and BTEC courses at level 3 and a collegiate programme with other secondary schools in the borough.
The successful postholder will ideally have sixth form and leadership experience. He/she should have experience as a sixth form tutor and have taught to A level in their own subject. Innovation, dedication and teamwork have been fundamental to our improvement and we are looking for a candidate who can build on this success. The school is currently in the very early planning stages of a new sixth form accommodation block to house our increasing role.
