Editorial Coordinator – 5M Publishing Ltd – Sheffield, England

This role has responsibility for coordinating a number of content sources and contributors across our portfolio of websites and social channels. The main responsibilities include content development, daily moderation, regular insight and leading our small in-house team.

Skills required:

Content creation: Writing, editing, researching and if possible translating.
Planning and commissioning: To ensure the team adopt and develop an editorial calendar for forward planning and delivery of external content.
Strategy: The ability to extract insight from user behaviour to develop effective editorial goals and content direction.
Creativity:  Generate new and exciting ways to drive engagement and interaction across our social and web platforms.
Moderation: Daily community tasks include monitoring of social channels and managing account issues.
Work with the marketing/advertising team to understand business goals, requirements and current marketing plans
Research & Insights: Track community metrics.  Build reports that summarise community insights.
Quality Control: Monitor and oversee social and community content
Research: Monitor social media marketing and research trends, platforms and technologies.

Experience/ Requirements

Experience:

Previous experience in social media/community management
Excellent writing skills, with an eye for proofreading and grammar
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with Content Management Systems and content creation
Experience of analysing data, developing insights and research reports
Internet and technology savvy with an understanding of blogs, social media channels and consumer communities
Strong computer skills are a must
Basic photo editing skills (Photoshop a plus)

Possess good communication skills
Possess the skills to build lasting and productive relationships at all levels internally and externally
