Job Title: Employability Officer
Accountable to: Community Trust Director
Contract: Full Time. 1 Year Fixed Term. 37 ½ Hours per week.
Location: Leicester City FC, King Power Stadium, Filbert Way, Leicester, LE2 7FL.
Salary: Dependant on experience
Responsible to: Community Cohesion Manager

Job Purpose
The Employability Officer will be responsible for implementing, delivering, developing and evaluating the LCFC Community Trust’s Premier League funded (PL Works) employability programme.

Duties and Responsibilities
The key duties and responsibilities of the post are:
• Develop sustainable and meaningful partnerships with various outside agencies and organisations
• To work with young people furthest away from the job market,(e.g. those deemed ‘hard to reach’ or young adults with learning disabilities), to increase chances of gaining employment or accessing work related training or education
• Engage a minimum of 20 unique participants per year
• Plan and deliver a core employability and skills programme for a minimum of 150 hours to better prepare participants to enter the job, training and / or education market
• Ensure participants complete a Personal Development Plan
• Deliver personal and social development qualifications
• Facilitate and support 30 hour work experience placements for every participant
• Establish ‘Community Action’ projects for the participants to engage in and complete
• Support all participants for a minimum 12 month period
• Ensure monitoring and evaluation processes are up to date and accurate
• Complete mid-year and year end PL monitoring reports including the production of two high quality case studies that demonstrate impact on individuals
• Implement a rewards and incentives programme
• Positively and proactively promote employability at LCFC Community Trust using a variety of media outlets
• Ensure that the PL Works project is financially viable and you spend within the budget allocated
• To deal with basic safeguarding issues and where necessary to liaise with and refer on to the Trust’s safeguarding lead and the club’s Safeguarding and Welfare Officer

The Post Holder will also be required to work across multiple projects within LCFC Community Trust- projects include:
• PL Works
• PL Kicks
• Police Community Champions
• PL/PFA Your City, Your Choice

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications
Educated to a degree-level qualification Desirable
Relevant sector qualifications (i.e. football coaching awards- preferably FA Level Two) Essential
HLTA/ Learning Mentor qualification or equivalent Desirable
A recognised Youth Work qualification Desirable
Knowledge and Experience
A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with young people in a variety of settings Essential
Previous experience of working with NEET (not in education, employment or training) young people Essential
Previous experience delivering high quality workshops and interventions to challenging young people. Essential
Be able to demonstrate innovation, creativity and a passion for delivering a world class service Essential
Excellent knowledge of the Trust and all departments within it Essential
Excellent IT knowledge of Microsoft Office Essential

Strong networking skills to deploy for the benefit of the Trust’s objectives Essential
