Job Description
The Royal Caledonian Curling Club is seeking an enthusiastic and well organised person to fill the vacancy of Event Administrator for the 2016 European Curling Championships.
The Event Administrator will provide administrative support to the Event Manager of 2016 European Curling Championships as part of the Organising Committee Team.
Overall Purpose
To provide administrative support to the Event Manager of 2016 European Curling Championships as part of the Organising Committee Team.
The successful applicant will have excellent IT skills, including experience of spreadsheets, with good written and verbal communication skills. Ideally, with a working knowledge of event organisation, they will have the ability to prioritise a heavy workload and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to the Event Manager, particularly in the area of data management for aspects of the event such as workforce
• General administrative tasks across the full remit of the event as directed by the Event Manager. This will include spreadsheet creation and management, dealing with correspondence, maintaining filing systems and preparing invoicing information.
• The post holder will need to maintain a flexible approach over working times, especially closer to the event.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
• Competent IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience of working within an events environment
• Excellent organisational skills
• Experience of working in a busy office environment
• Ability to prioritise work using own initiative and work accurately and methodically with good attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable
• Experience of working with volunteers
• A working knowledge of the structure of sport governance in the UK
• Current UK Driving Licence
• Knowledge and experience of curling
