The British Triathlon Federation is the National Governing Body for Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon in Great Britain, responsible for raising the profile and delivering medal-winning performances and helping everyone discover, enjoy and achieve in triathlon.
Triathlon England (TE) is one of the three Home Nations of the British Triathlon Federation (BTF), the other two being triathlonscotland and Welsh Triathlon. The three Home Nation Associations are responsible for all aspects of triathlon in their respective countries, and contribute to the work of BTF.
British Triathlon is seeking an experienced individual who will play a leading role in the implementation of its Major Events & Inspirational Events Strategy. They will be responsible for the successful delivery of British Triathlon’s major events, working alongside key partners and stakeholders to ensure each event meets its individual objectives and those of the wider sport.
This is an exciting time for the sport, as the World Triathlon Series moves venue to Leeds in 2016, the Events Manager will play a pivotal role in its success working alongside our event delivery partners, UK Sport and local partners. In addition to this, successful & sustainable delivery of British Triathlon’s flagship domestic events the British Triathlon Championships and British Duathlon Championships will be a key objective.
On-going development of the British Triathlon Super Series and Youth & Junior Series is a core part of delivering an effective performance pathway, the Events Manager will work collaboratively with third party event organisers to ensure continuing delivery and development of both series.
The Age-Group Major Events Programme is integral to the GB Age-Group Team system and the sports membership offering, as well as a key benefit for event organisers. The Events Manager will be responsible for working with event organisers from across the country, as well as the Home Nation Associations to deliver a high quality events programme which reflects the top level of event organisation across Great Britain.
As British Triathlon seeks to develop its Inspiration Events Strategy, we are seeking an Events Manager who can bring new and innovative ideas to the sport, and develop the next generation of events to help further drive the growth and popularity of triathlon.
The role will be based at the British Triathlon headquarters located at Loughborough University; however, the nature of the role will require evening and weekend working and occasional travel.
