Job Description
BACKGROUND
Dallaglio RugbyWorks is a long-term intensive skills development programme, based on the values of rugby, delivered to 14-17 year olds outside of mainstream education. The goal? To ensure they achieve sustained education, employment or training.

Dallaglio RugbyWorks is a three-year programme, working with young people from year 10 to year 12. Coaches currently work nationally in over 70 Alternative Provision Schools. Each pair of RugbyWorks coaches leads small groups of 8-10 young people, establishing the trust and support that is vital to their mentorship.

JOB OVERVIEW
To own and deliver small and large scale Dallaglio RugbyWorks events including: our annual high profile fundraiser 8Rocks, Dallaglio RugbyWorks Golf and working with the team on any other event focused projects. To also project manage the bi-annual Dallaglio Cycle Slam, a three week overseas mass participation event raising over £700k.

The chosen candidate with be personable, intuitive, well presented and confident.
To be effective in this role, you will have at least 5 years experience in leading events. The Dallaglio RugbyWorks supporter base is a special group, therefor the chosen applicant will be respectful and at all times confidential. You will preferably have experience of creating and managing events for senior level figures and ultra high net-worth individuals.
You will need to forge and maintain solid relationships with event suppliers, venues and entertainment, coordinating all aspects of events. You will be capable of planning and organising complex and demanding workload within deadlines and have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

We are looking for a passionate, creative and personable person who has excellent experience in planning and delivering events.

REPORTS TO
The Events Manager will report to the Head of Fundraising.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
To project manage the Dallaglio RugbyWorks events portfolio.
To manage all event supplier relationships.
Responsible for events budget reporting into the Dallaglio RugbyWorks accountant and Head of Fundraising.
Ensure fundraising targets are met.
Work with the Head of Fundraising to bring in sponsorship and gift I kind/suppliers for events.
Bring a new lease of life to our current event concepts.
Negotiate competitive rates for venues, hotels and with suppliers we are working with to minimize costs and maximize fundraising.
Assist team with auction asks and coordinating auction prizes.
Support the team with fundraising ideas and new event concepts.

Experience
– Widespread experience in Event Management; small to large-scale events.(Essential)
– Extensive understanding of budget management. (Essential)
– Experience of negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and venues. (Essential)
– A proven track record of building and maintaining relationships. (Essential)
– Prior experience working towards fundraising targets. (Essential)
– Experience creating fundraising concepts for events. (Desirable)

OTHER INFORMATION
Working hours are 9:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday based out of the Dallaglio RugbyWorks Aldgate office. Flexible working will be required to cover any out-of-hours meetings, evening visits and other events. Attendance at other Dallaglio RugbyWorks events and conferences will sometimes be required. A time off in lieu is in operation.

The jobholder will require an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting the role.
We offer 25 days annual leave per year, plus bank holidays and an additional day off for your birthday!
