Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and innovative charity about to embark on the next stage of its development. As the club’s official charity, Burnley FC in the Community operates at the heart of Burnley FC and has an enormous power to capture the imagination of thousands of people across the region. The primary focus of this role will be to oversee the effective operations of the Burnley FC Girls and Ladies programme. The role will involve working closely with the charity’s Head of Sport and existing Sport team to develop and implement a meaningful set of female focused programmes that are impactful with regards to the participation of females in predominantly football.
The post holder will identify, develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders including Burnley FC Girls and Ladies. Ideally, you will have a strong background in Sport Development and / or Sports Coaching, with experience of working with females in a football / sporting environment.
The ideal candidate will have;
• A degree in a relevant subject, such as, Sport Development, Sport Coaching and / or Social Inclusion
• A minimum FA Level 2 Award in Coaching Football.
• FA Youth Award Module 1 & 2
• A strong understanding of and a proven track record in the creation and development of female specific sporting opportunities.
• An expert and empathetic approach to engaging females of all ages within appropriate sporting programmes.
• Some experience/involvement of writing/preparing funding bids and preparing reports for funders/ key stakeholders.
• A solid and effective understanding of numerous Monitoring and Evaluation processes to ensure that all programmes are compliant with the requirements of key funders / partners.
Applicants will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work some evenings and match days as required. You will require a full, valid UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
