If you are methodical, detail-orientated and have an accounting qualification then this could be the job for you. London Irish Rugby Club are looking for a driven and proactive Finance Manager to join our small but dynamic team! You will be contributing to the overall running of accounting and financial activities of London Irish Rugby Club including preparing, examining and analysing financial reports and records.
You will be responsible for:
• Maintaining the integrity of the financial accounts of the rugby club and our holding company
• Preparing/entering month-end journals – merchandise, accruals, prepayments
• Balance sheet account reconciliations
• Bank reconciliations
• Managing Online Banking Facility
• Payroll administration and associated returns
• Liaison with pension scheme administrators
• Preparation and submission of annual P60 and P11D forms
• Administration of apprentice levy database
• Supplier account payments with other ad hoc payments as required
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Preparation of schedules for year-end audit
• Administration of corporate mobile phones
• Maintaining petty cash
• Completion of various government returns
• To keep abreast of changes in the accounting and tax legislation that could impact the company
• Other duties and responsibilities as required by the CFO
The ideal candidate will:
• Have good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software (Sage, Xero, ApprovalMax)
• Be knowledgeable of accounting regulations
• Have experience of working in professional sport
