Job Description
Role purpose:
• Support the Operational and Governance section of the County FA overseeing the Referee Registration and Competition processes.
• Significantly contribute to the implementation of The National Game Strategy.
Work programme:
• Competitions
o Manage the Association’s Adult and Youth Cup Competitions in conjunction with the Competitions Sub Committees.
o Work with appointments officers to appoint referees to all County Cup fixtures.
o Act as Secretary to the County Cups Committee and Sub Committees.
o Manage the Capital Cups programme in conjunction with local County FA’s and the County Cups Committee.
o Develop County Cups to become more customer focused and player centered.
o Utilise FA Full Time to manage the County Cups programme.
o Issue fines to clubs who fail to comply with the County Cup Rules.
o Sanction Small Sided Tournaments liaising with the Governance Committee.
• Referees
o Support all referees with registration, reporting discipline and enquiries.
o Explore opportunities to engage and support new and existing referees.
o Follow up with referees after completion of their course to ensure contact with leagues and support where required.
o Appoint match officials to Middlesex FA Youth County Cup fixtures and any other matches as required.
o Act as Secretary to the Referee’s Committee.
o Utilise insight and data to provide a customer focused approach to recruiting referees to meet local and club demand.
o Support the Referee Academy where required.
o Collate information and prepare documentations for the referee promotion scheme.
• General
o Provide support to football services department as and when required (affiliation, county cups etc.).
o Provide support to grassroots clubs, leagues and volunteers as required.
o Support the affiliation, referee registration and competition processes.
o Undertake daily discipline and county cups tasks.
o Provide a service to meet the needs of customers.
o Ensure compliance with the Association’s Health and Safety policy.
o Act at all times in accordance with the Association’s Articles, Rules, Regulations and decisions.
