We are looking for a number part time foundation phase and youth development phase coaches to assist in the technical and tactical development of our academy players from U9-U16.

Key responsibilities:
• To plan, deliver and evaluate appropriate coaching sessions to an age group in line with the Academy philosophy and coaching syllabus;
• To manage an age group on match days and adopt and encourage a style of play within the Academy style and formations;
• To record session plans, evaluations and match reports for both the team and individuals meticulously using the PMA system;
• Produce Player Development Reports every 6-12 weeks (phase dependant) to aid individual player development using the PMA system;
• To attend all appropriate meetings and Continued Professional Development courses organised by the Club, in line with the Academy Coach Competency Framework (CCF).

Main job requirements and person specification
Education/Qualifications (or internationally recognised equivalent)/Training:
• UEFA B Licence (E);
• FA Youth Module Awards 1, 2 and 3 (E/working towards qualification);
• Child Protection Certificate (E);
• Emergency First Aid Certificate (E);
• Basic First Aid For Sport (D);

Specific Experience:
• Experience of working with Foundation/Youth Development Phase age groups (E);
• Experience in using the Four Corner coaching and Long Term Player Development (LTPD) model (E);
• Experience of planning and delivering appropriate, creative and challenging sessions within an elite environment (E);
• Enthusiasm, passion and commitment to developing Premier League and International standard players (E);
• A minimum of 2 years’ coaching experience in an elite or related environment (E);
• An understanding of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) and PMA system (D);
• The ability to work effectively both as an individual and within a Multi Disciplinary team (E);

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:
• The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire young players and teams within the Academy (E);
• Previous experience of working at a professional football club with sound football knowledge and understanding of an elite development level (D);
• Ability to work with all levels of management and be able to work as part of a team as well as taking own initiative (E);
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a pressurised environment (E);
• Reliable and highly motivated towards the role and trustworthy with sensitive data (E);
• A healthy interest in sport/football (E).
