Funetics Telesales Executive (3mth FTC) – England Athletics

Job Description
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Responsible for managing the ongoing and effective execution of our established membership programme, this team also works proactively and creatively to secure and service new business and commercial partnerships that ultimately generate value added benefit for our members and the wider company. This team has a lead responsibility for managing our relationships and investments with third party competition and events bodies and in also organising and delivering major EA events that enhance the athlete experience such as our national championships, international events and other key flagship events such as our Hall of Fame. The department is also responsible for both the management of our officials and the road running programme.

JOB PURPOSE
England Athletics has recently developed funetics which aims to provide fun athletics sessions to help children learn, develop and practice running, jumping and throwing all year round. The programme is supported funetics ambassador Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Usain Bolt through a partnership with Enertor, funetics insole partner.
The programme is due to launch in Spring 2020 and we are currently recruiting licensees who will be responsible for delivery in community and schools settings. The telesales executive will be responsible for contacting potential providers and delivering the initial sales call (approx 45 mins) with a view to setting up a further meeting for a members of the funetics sales team or potentially closing directly where appropriate.

Reports to: Head of Business Development
Budget Responsibility: None

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Telephone calls with potential licensees based on initial contact and then a subsequent full sales call
• Set up second meetings for the funetics sales team
• Where appropriate close sale with potential licensees
• Timely management of database of potential licensee contacts / sales pipeline, including a daily update of progress
• Liaison with funetics programme coordinator and Head of Business Development with feedback / challenge from the sales process
• Support sales team with desk based research for potential new lead generation when required
• Achieve target for initial sales calls and subsequent sales meetings
• Support Head of Business Development with any funetics sales related activity as required

Education/Qualifications/Training:
• No specific requirement
Specific Experience:
• A minimum three years’ experience in a telemarketing B2B sales role, preferably in sport, entertainment or a similar industry

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:
• Proven track record of sales success
• Proven ability to meet and exceed goals and targets
• Comfortable making cold calls to prospects

EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS
Salary range £41,000 OTE per annum (£20,000 salary – commission £40 per meeting and £70 per licensee sale)
Contractual Status 3-month fixed term contract – but with potential to extend
Annual Paid Holiday 25 days plus 8 Statutory Bank Holidays (pro rata)
Hours 35 hours per week. However, the post holder will be required to work such hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of the duties of the role. A flexible approach to work is requires as evening and weekend working will be involved
