Job Description
Glasgow Warriors are the pride of Glasgow and the only professional sport team who represent the whole of Glasgow and the west of Scotland. The club competes on two of the biggest stages in world club rugby, the Guinness PRO14 and Heineken Champions Cup.
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team as Communications and Marketing Manager. In this role you will manage the development, delivery and quality of all internal and external media and marketing communications to grow the club’s brand and to support the club to achieve its strategic objectives. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a strategy to communicate broadcast, electronic, social and print media.

What will you be doing:
– Working closely with the Managing Director to set the Communications and Marketing strategy, and to be accountable for its successful implementation
– Managing the delivery of positive, proactive and reactive media coverage
– Developing and managing your team (4 individuals) to ensure all projects are delivered successfully.
– Monitoring all content for press releases, supporter ezines, website material, match programmes and social media

What we’re looking for:
– Someone with the ability to manage various projects at the same time, with a high level of accuracy and the ability to remain calm under pressure
– Someone with knowledge of rugby and specific knowledge of Scottish Rugby and its working practices
– Strong communication and stakeholder management skills as you will be a key influencer among reporters, journalists, supporters and major stakeholders
– Someone with experience of leading and motivating a multi-disciplinary team
