Job Description
The Basketball Foundation is the national charity dedicated to increasing participation in and social impact of basketball. Funded by Sport England and working in partnership with Basketball England, the British Basketball League and British Basketball Federation, we develop programmes to be delivered with local partners ranging from professional basketball clubs to universities.
This role is key to making a success of the largest basketball participation programme in higher education, which is aimed at increasing the provision of and participation in recreational and intramural basketball across over 30 Universities in England.
The role will be to manage the development and expansion of the Higher Education Basketball Ambassador (HEBAs) programme from 11 universities to 30+ by working with student volunteer ambassadors, University staff and other stakeholder groups. The primary purpose will to motivate, inspire and support the volunteer ambassadors to develop the opportunities available for students to participate in basketball. The role will also manage the reporting of the project, and to deliver a series of events and pilot projects on behalf of the Basketball Foundation.
