Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Physiotherapist to oversee the medical care of the Academy players at Leyton Orient Football Club.
The role will involve the daily management of the under 18 squad and overseeing a team of therapists responsible for the care of the under 9-16 players. The successful physiotherapist will be expected to work within the framework for the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) for a Category 3 Academy; in addition the Head Academy Physiotherapist is to assist the 1st Team Physiotherapist when required.
Successful candidates are expected to be committed, reliable, versatile, organised, have excellent communication skills and be willing to learn and develop.
This position is subject to CRB Disclosure at Enhanced Level, satisfactory references, a six-month probationary period, and as within any elite sports setting will include working unsociable hours.
Essential:
• Chartered Physiotherapist (CSP/HPC registration)
• First Aid qualification (FA AREA/REMO or RFU PSITCC)
• Experience within an elite sporting environment
Desirable:
• MSc or studying towards, in sports science or medicine
• Previous experience of working within professional football
• Knowledge of the EPPP
