Job Description

As a senior leader at the LTA, you will work collaboratively with the Performance Senior Management Team (PSMT) to facilitate the recruitment, education, development, and retention of a world leading performance coaching workforce throughout the country.
The Head of Performance Coach Education and Development will enable the LTA’s Performance Coach Education Team to establish a strong, sustainable, and integrated performance coaching pathway aligned to the streams within the Player Pathway https://www.lta.org.uk/play-compete/performance-tennis-players/player-pathway/player-pathway-overview/
Responsible for the development and implementation of the Performance Coach Education and Development strategy, the post holder will lead the Team to contribute to the achievement of three key objectives, which underpin the creation of a pathway for champions that nurtures a diverse team of players, people, and leaders:
1) Nurture competitive and resilient athletes with clearly defined game styles built upon strengths and weapons
2) Nurture an oversupply of players competing for selection at each age and stage of the Player Pathway
3) Inspire the tennis audience by:
c) Winning 2 Paralympic Medals at Tokyo 2020
d) Enabling 5 new singles players to break into the WTA / ATP top 100 by 2023
e) Capturing 5% of the ATP/WTA top 100 by 2028
