Are you determined to deliver an excellent education which extends far beyond the curriculum?
St Mary’s Church of England Middle School is a state school for over 480 boys and girls aged from 9 to 13. It is situated on the outskirts of Puddletown, five miles east of Dorchester, in the beautiful Dorset countryside. The school, currently an academy, is nearing the end of its consultation process with a view to becoming a multi academy trust with five of its feeder first schools.
The Governors at St Mary’s are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational leader who will move the school from its recent Good Ofsted grading (March 2013) to Outstanding.
At St Mary’s, we encourage and expect the highest standards in both academic work and behaviour. Self-discipline, respect and concern for others, good manners, hard work and the determination to succeed are the foundations of our educational philosophy.
The values of respect, forgiveness, justice, uniqueness, equality, acceptance and love are the foundations of our ethos and our practice. With a deep commitment to helping every child reach their potential, along with the support of a committed team and Governing Body, you will take the school to further success.
