The Howard School is an 11-18 bilateral school based in Medway, Kent. We became an academy in October 2014 and become the core of The Howard Academy Trust in December 2015.
The Governing Body of The Howard School and The Howard Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic and visionary Head of School to lead the academy from January 2016. We are looking for a leader who will further develop our academic success and have a clear vision of how to move The Howard forward.
The Head of School will work for The Howard Academy Trust under the leadership of the CEO Mr P Morris and the trust’s education and operations team. Working as part of a small group of schools, you will receive excellent opportunities for career progression and advancement.
The core purpose of the Head of School role is to raise standards of achievement for all students by providing outstanding leadership. You will lead the successful implementation of The Howard Academy Trusts’ ethos and ambitions and establish high quality education by leading on teaching and learning. You will have the highest aspirations for everyone and ensure the continued innovative development of all staff.
We want our School to be “Outstanding” therefore your challenge is to deliver outstanding leadership across the academy.
The successful candidate will be someone with strategic experience and the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate our community. S/he should be an outstanding classroom practitioner who can recognise high quality teaching and learning, and empower each individual to fulfil their potential.
