The Governors invite applications for this appointment which will become vacant in September 2016 on the retirement of Sue Marks after six years of outstanding leadership and service to the School.
Founded in 1890, Withington is a leading independent day school for girls in which some of the best academic results in the country are attained within a lively, happy and caring environment. The School’s exceptional record of achievement is complemented by an extensive range of extra-curricular opportunities. The girls thrive in a warm and supportive atmosphere and are encouraged to reach their individual potential in all areas.
There are 662 pupils aged between 7 and 18 in the School, which is located close to the universities in the Fallowfield area of Manchester. Pupils are drawn from a wide geographical area and from a diverse range of cultural and financial backgrounds. Through the Withington Girls’ School Trust, up to 100 bursaries are extended, according to individual need.
Applications are invited from highly qualified candidates with a strong track record of leadership and management experience, including the strategic vision to lead an exceptional staff team and to promote further development of this outstanding school.
