These are exciting times for England Netball, as we have successfully secured £50,000 in Heritage Lottery Funding to enable us to celebrate 90 years of netball in 2016 through securing and sharing our heritage. England Netball is one of the country’s most successful sports with a growing membership and regular television coverage. We are seeking to appoint a Heritage Project Officer who is a high achiever and has the will to succeed in helping us rationalise, catalogue and make our archives readily available to anyone with an interest in netball and at the same time project manage our 90 years celebrations in 2016.
Reporting to the Executive Officer you will be responsible for:
• Staging a re-enactment of a historic match
• Developing an intergenerational project with local schools and universities
• Developing and managing an oral history programme of volunteers interviewing selected AENA members
• Overseeing a volunteer programme run by the Collections Officer to catalogue, repackage and move the AENA archive to a secure permanent home
• Overseeing the development, population and management of a heritage section of the AENA website
• Developing learning materials for England Netball member organisations based on how England Netball has approached and implemented the project.
Regularly report to the Executive Officer and ensure England Netball and key stakeholders are well-informed about the project
