High Performance Sport Talent Identification / Pathways Manager – Northumbria University – Newcastle upon Tyne

Job Description

You will be responsible for designing and implementing a Talent Identification System at both a national and international level to achieve high performance sport targets and contribute to the delivery of the overall sport strategy. You will proactively build and engage with a network of contacts through which you will ensure Northumbria University is recognised as the best in the sector for enabling student athletes to meet both their study and competitive aspirations.

This role requires a minimum of three years working successfully at a high performance sport level in a talent identification, pathways development or management role and you will be able to evidence your contribution to a programme or environment which has achieved sustained competitive success. You will be required to implement innovative ways to attract and select those who have high performance potential to facilitate the achievement of their personal goals as well as meet the University’s competitive targets. You will be resourceful with strong organisation skills and a wide range of administrative experience including budget management and reporting. You will be positive, confident and passionate and will be driven to engage and motivate others to deliver results. Your experience will be supported by a sports related degree or equivalent qualification along with evidence of your commitment to Continuous Professional Development in high performance sport.
