Who are we?
London Marathon Events organise some of the largest and best mass participation sports events in the UK including the Virgin Money London Marathon, RideLondon (as part of the London & Surrey Cycling Partnership) and the London 10,000. We are a not-for-profit organisation and our surplus is given to The London Marathon Charitable Trust to improve sports and recreation in the areas where we organise events.

London Marathon Events Hospitality Coordinator

The Job
We are looking for a part time (2 -3 days a week) Hospitality Coordinator to join our world class events team.
The ideal candidate will have fantastic communication and organisational skills, impressive attention to detail and be able to prioritise heavy workloads especially around event times.

Responsibilities will include:
•Ensure guest lists are updated and invitations have been designed, printed and extended in a timely manner
•Coordinate RSVP’s and issuing of all relevant administration for the hospitality events including managing “grand stand” attendees at the London Marathon and RideLondon
•Arrange hospitality across all LME events as well as other in house hospitality events that may occur throughout the year
•Liaising with restaurants, contractors and suppliers to manage each hospitality event including selection of food / drink menus, entertainment, decoration, AV and any additional special requirements in order to ensure all runs smoothly on the day
•Coordinate and manage all hotel bookings for staff and event teams across all London Marathon Events
•Ensure staff welfare across all events
•Plan and oversee internal staff social events

Essential skills
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Competent IT skills with extensive knowledge of Excel
•An understanding of the importance of customer service / satisfaction
•Ability to work beyond normal office hours and long hours at outdoor events

Experience
•Experience of working in a similar Hospitality role
•Knowledge and experience of cycling and running events would be preferred
