HR and Governance Director – Basketball England

Job Description
It is an exciting time to join Basketball England as we continue to deliver our ambitious 6-year strategic plan we call ‘Growing Basketball Together’. As the National Governing Body for basketball in England, we are responsible for ensuring the very highest standards in the sport for our members.
In order to achieve our ambitious goals to grow the sport we need to have in place strong governance and excellent people practices for our staff and volunteer network. This includes the provision of excellent safeguarding, GDPR and Health and Safety processes and procedures in order to give our members the best experience whilst keeping them safe,
This is a great opportunity for a HR professional to join a vibrant team, in a senior leadership capacity, working strategically with our Board. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the experience to ensure only the highest governance and people standards in the sport, enabling us to continue being a high performing National Governing Body (NGB).
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate an ability to be a self-starter, be able to manage multiple projects at the same time and to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships across the staff and volunteer team, with our Board and with key external stakeholders.
