ROLE PURPOSE
Prepare, implement and manage a coaching programme to coach and develop players within an elite development centre. Support and observe the games programme across the age groups, plan, prepare and evaluate coaching sessions. Keep up to date with writing and managing reviews of all players in your groups
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To coach age groups between the ages of either 8 to 12 or 13 to 16, including individual, small group and full group sessions, implementing a Player Development Programme which maximises the opportunities for young players to reach their full potential across all age groups in line with the companies player development plan and philosophy.
Deliver coaching sessions in accordance with the centres syllabus
Ensure that the registration of players attending sessions is logged on the correct manner as set out by the Club.
Monitor and assess the players in the development centre in training and in match performances and to keep and maintain all appropriate records using the methods prescribed by the company for the auditing of players.
Preparing and conducting player/parent reviews on a school termly basis
Providing regular written and verbal feedback to the Centre Manager on player Progress.
To manage sides on match days
Contribute to the Scouting and Recruitment process where appropriate in relation to the Development centre
Undertake administrative tasks related to the role.
Liaise with parents as required to communicate any new information regarding the centre and its programme and meet and greet new families appropriately.
You will be responsible for the health and safety of players in your care and should maintain a safe environment at all times including coaching sessions, fixtures and travel.
Sessions carried out will be between an hour and a hour and a half
Ensure the relationship with children and vulnerable adults is appropriate and language, behaviour and demeanour is suitable. The Company will expect you to undertake training to ensure an understanding of best practice in relation to Children and/or Vulnerable Adults.
You will be responsible for the welfare of children in your care and should not leave them in the care of others.
