The University of Manchester is looking to recruit a new performance team aimed at supporting the dual career of our elite athletes across our scholarship programmes and high performing Sports teams. The University recognises the importance of providing a high quality multi-disciplinary service to enable their success and believes the access to appropriate strength and conditioning is essential to help achieve an individual’s potential.
The University is therefore looking to appoint a Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach to oversee the work of the Strength and Conditioning team and create plans and strategies for athletes that are tailor made to their sport specific requirements.
You will take responsibility for delivering the Strength and Conditioning programmes to our elite athletes across the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS), our internal scholarship programmes and key focus sports teams.
You will also be a keen team player, with the ability to supervise staff and build relationships with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure we provide a suitable environment for all our athletes to achieve their potential.
We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic and engaging individual with significant experience of delivering strength and conditioning programmes within the education sports environment.
