Job Description
Wiltshire Council is seeking an experienced leisure professional for a job share opportunity to the Leisure Partnerships Officer post. With an expert knowledge of contract management and facility issues and principles, you will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and reviewing the council’s leisure facilities management contracts with Places for People Leisure, covering the north of the county, as well as the agreements associated with three smaller community grants.
Educated to degree level in a sports related discipline, or equivalent, you will be highly motivated, have excellent communication and inter-personal skills, be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, be highly organised and have the ability to work under pressure ensuring key priorities and deadlines are met.
The successful applicant will take responsibility for:
• The operational client contact role including an extensive monitoring programme
• Liaising with Property Services regarding repairs and maintenance programmes
• Supporting Leisure Services with the harmonisation of policies and procedures, including fees and charges and dual use agreements
• Assisting with the production of contract procurement, and research of service delivery methods, mechanisms and projects
• Supporting the planning, development and implementation of new and improved leisure facilities and services
You will have knowledge and experience of setting and managing both budgets and qualitative and quantitative performance indicators and will be expected to demonstrate the full range of competencies required of a team leader in a rapidly changing, performance driven environment.
You must hold a current, valid driving license and have a vehicle available for work purposes and ideally be available for work Mondays – Wednesdays.
