Job Description
The role is to provide world class medical administration support to nominated athletes and medical practitioners in Bath. It involves overseeing the smooth running of the sports medicine service at an EIS site, through the provision of administrative, financial and project support to EIS sports physicians, physiotherapists and soft tissue therapists; working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering services to athletes and coaches; providing additional business administration support to the team.
MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES
Provide a ‘front of house’ presence for EIS supported athletes and customers. Meeting and greeting, booking & managing appointments, answering phones and generally handling medical enquiries. Recording, filtering, disseminating and communicating matters to the respective staff and taking follow up action where appropriate.
Provide administrative and medical secretarial support to the EIS medical staff working with sports. This includes managing confidential information and arranging onward referrals for further support and care. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining electronic medical records; typing; taking minutes; photocopying; filing; scanning; maintaining spreadsheets and overseeing the clinic environment to ensure the smooth running of the clinic for staff and athletes.
Provide efficient general administrative support to the EIS site, assisting with designated tasks or projects as required. Such tasks will include requisition and order of medical consumables and travel & accommodation bookings all in accordance with EIS procedures.
Input and maintain information regarding World Class athletes contained on the Performance Data Management System (PDMS) ensuring records are up to date and accessible for the sports medicine and physiotherapy practitioners. Creating reports based on this data when required.
Ensure the site complies with the CQC Medical Management Policy, following all processes and recording efficiently in accordance with this.
