Our coaches work full time in mainstream secondary and Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools – as well as community clubs – to provide sport programmes across the capital that equip young people for life.

The Role
Following the success of our existing multisports programmes we are looking to recruit a full time Head Coach to work within our partner school in Northwest London playing a key role within the multidisciplinary team in order to improve life chances.
The Head Coach will be school based and will lead the planning and delivery of a comprehensive and wide-ranging programme of high quality multisports coaching for young people aged 11-19 with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD), Mild Learning Disabilities (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), Downs Syndrome, Complex medical needs, speech, language and communication disabilities, ADHD and physical disabilities.
Greenhouse Sports is committed to Safeguarding and you will ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times and will maintain accurate records of all registered participants, staff and volunteers at all planned sessions.
The Person
We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilful and professional individual to work closely with the school and other Greenhouse Sports’ coaches. With a passion for working with young SEN people as well as the Greenhouse Sports’ mission, values and beliefs, you will also have a strong track record of successfully delivering and managing high quality multisports coaching programmes for young people in an SEN environment.
To be considered for this role you must be an NGB minimum level 2 (or equivalent) qualified coach with experience of working with young people with special education needs in a school or club setting. You will also demonstrate strong leadership skills, as well as be a confident and capable IT user, with good administrative and organisational skills needed to effectively plan, manage and provide timely reports for the programme.
You should have a commitment to your continuous professional development. This commitment will be supported by key policies and our complimentary essential operating standards training around Safeguarding and Child Protection, Emergency First Aid, Mentoring and Inclusive Coaching
