National Citizen Service (NCS) Programme Manager – Notts County FC Football in the Community

Job Description
The NCS Programme Manager will be responsible for running FITC’s highly successful NCS Programme. The Project Manager will plan, implement and co-ordinate all aspects of the NCS Programme within FITC. The Programme Manager will liaise with Ingeus to ensure that all contractual KPIs are met and the programme is monitored and evaluated in line with contractual obligations.

Due to the breadth of this role, the ideal candidate will need to show flexibility, will be target-driven and able to work with a demanding workload and multi-task, both behind the scenes and on location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Manage a team of staff to successfully achieve all contractual targets
*To be the main contact with Ingeus and to provide reports as appropriate whilst working to tight deadlines
*Oversee and quality assure the operational activity of NCS
*Support recruitment of young people on to the local programme using a variety of mechanisms including presentations, social activities and innovative ways to engage the target group
*Have a proven track record of project and financial management (minimum of 3 years’ experience)
*Recruit appropriate staff and volunteers to deliver the programme, including a group of youth volunteers to act as Ambassadors for the NCS programme
*Book all necessary venues, activities and arrange other resources needed – for example residential centres, transport and equipment
*Engage with local volunteer centres, community groups and charities for social action project opportunities
*Liaise with Notts County FC in order to utilise club resources, such as room bookings and marketing
*Attend related networks, all meetings and NCS events, supporting the partnership and sharing good practice
*Liaise with a range of key stakeholders such as schools and parents to ensure effective engagement and participation in NCS
*Ensure effective risk assessments are carried out for all NCS activities
*Ensure that all safeguarding issues are dealt with in line with FITC’s processes and policies
*Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of all activities undertaken within the programme, reporting outcomes and performance back to the Regional Delivery Provider
*As a member of the management team you will be required to ensure that all health and safety issues are dealt with appropriately and in accordance with FITC’s policies and processes

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
*Relevant degree or 3 years relevant experience
*Minimum 3 years’ project management experience
*Experience of managing and delivering NCS
*Full valid driving licence

EXPERIENCE
Essential
*Experience of developing and implementing a business plan
*Experience in financial planning and management
*Experience of project management
*Experience of producing a variety of reports
*Development of sustainable partnerships with existing and new organisations
*Ability to manage, lead and motivate a team of full-time, part-time and voluntary staff
*Use monitoring systems

Desirable
*Experience of developing effective administrative systems and procedures
*Knowledge of Health and Safety within an NCS programme
