Job Description
We are seeking applications for the voluntary position of National U18 Girls’ Squad Manager.
The voluntary position will require a commitment based on approximately 21 days of coaching between November and June (including a warm weather camp in February half term). Time around the coaching camps may be required for administration processes and communication with players and home teams. Attendance at tournaments and matches is to be agreed with the Performance Director and Performance Manager (Women’s Golf) and days could range from 14 to 26 days from April to September. Attendance will be required at the England Golf Coaching Conference in November 2017 and CPD event in May 2018, plus any relevant team meetings.
The focus of the role will be to support the England Girls’ Lead Coach and supporting coaches in the delivery of the coaching programme to players selected for the England Girls’ Squad.
Requirements of the Applicant:
• A working knowledge of the needs and requirements of elite young sports people;
• Experience of coordinating and managing coaching programmes in golf or in another sport;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• A sound understanding of safeguarding principles;
• Able to use Microsoft Office packages and communicate effectively remotely;
• Has managerial experience;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Enthusiastic, personable and competitive.

Reasonable expenses incurred as part of the National U18 Girls’ Squad Manager will be reimbursed by England Golf.
This role has been identified as involving access to vulnerable adults and/or children and in line with England Golf policy persons undertaking this role will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service Disclosure Check and must also have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children course (SPC) or be willing to undertake one.
