Job Description
Abingdon Gymnastics Club is a not-for-profit organisation run by a Management Team and employees, supported by a Board of non-executive directors that meets four times a year.
Our directors’ responsibilities include:
– Providing strategic direction that promotes the continuing success of Abingdon Gymnastics Club
– To manage the affairs of the Club according to its constitution and the resolutions of general meetings
– To ensure the safe and effective running of the club, including the maintenance of appropriate staffing levels
– To ensuring the financial sustainability of the club and ensure its compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
– To monitor the Club’s performance and hold its team to account for progress against agreed targets
The individual
We would be pleased to hear from all from eligible candidates able to use their particular knowledge, skills and experience to enhance the decision-making of the Board. Prior experience of gymnastics and the sport industry is by no means necessary. This is an unpaid voluntary role. If selected, you will be expected to attend four Board meetings per year.
