Job Description
Background to WDBS
World Disability Billiards and Snooker (WDBS) is a body created in 2015 to give more people with disabilities the opportunity to play cue sports.
The WDBS has been set up under the auspices of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA), with guidance from Activity Alliance.
Since its formation the WDBS has successfully staged snooker events and competitive snooker tournaments for disabled people in the UK and Europe. WDBS has also completed a successful open day in Beijing with co-operation with the China Administration of Sport for People with Disabilities (CASPD).
Tournaments are open to people with a range of physical, learning and sensory disabilities as set out within our classification system.
The WDBS aims to expand our reach into other countries and to gain recognition for cue sports in the Paralympic Games, the Deaf Olympics and other multi-sport events that are open to people with disabilities.
