Operations and Maintenance Technical Sales Manager
A fantastic opportunity with an international company based in the UK, who are at the forefront of new energy technologies, to help develop and grow their Operations & Maintenance service business.

The Company
Our client is a highly innovative and impressive market leader in the engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of large-scale solar power solutions. Furthermore, they are one of largest providers of solar power O&M services in the World. They have an in house team of engineers who are trained to the highest standards and are available throughout the UK.
The role of Technical Sales Manager
This role is designed to grow the company’s O&M capability, mainly through the acquisition of new sites. You will be responsible for developing sales revenue through identification, propositions and closing business to targeted clients and prospects. You will drive sales through marketing events, sales campaigns and networking to identify and build relationships with new prospects.

Main Responsibilities
Create and execute sales plans
Learn and develop the company’s sales model
Use the CRM to manage customer relationships and leads
Gather market intel
Reporting back to senior management on sales progress
Development of growth opportunities
Review of O&M and Asset Management contracts
Attend industry exhibitions and events
Travel to sites across the UK to deliver sales presentations
Provide consistent feedback and follow ups on all opportunities and enquiries
Create detailed proposals and budget estimates
Negotiate terms of contracts
Liaise with other areas of the business to ensure delivery of contracts
Assist in technical assessment of sites
Meet or exceed all targets

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Technical Sales Manager you should be degree qualified, or have the equivalent experience, preferably in a relevant subject. Previous experience in selling technical services is essential, as is experience with and knowledge of service/maintenance contracts. Coming from a Renewables background is desirable but not essential.
You will be an Exceptional Sales person with demonstrable successful track record in selling and contract negotiation. You will have used CRM software previously. You will have excellent communication skills, you are able to work autonomously and to targets, and you are self-motivated and driven to succeed. You will be excellent at developing new relationships and fostering business partnerships. Travelling is an essential part of this role, so flexibility to travel across the UK with full driver’s license is essential as well.

In return, our client offers a highly attractive salary in the region of £45,000, company car, with a very generous bonus scheme and benefits package.
