ASSIGNMENT AND REVIEW OF WORK
Work is generated by the CEO from the Board’s Strategic and Operational Plans.
The post holder prioritises his/her own work within agreed objectives and assigns and reviews the work of the office staff in accordance with the organisations policies and procedures.
The post holder is subject to general direction and will discuss conflicting priorities with the CEO.
In line with agreed objectives and performance monitoring, the post holder is responsible for devising appropriate strategies to deliver agreed objectives and priorities.
Work will also be generated from meetings with the contractors, stakeholders, and the wider membership of NISA.
The post holder continuously reviews his/her work to ensure satisfactory standards are achieved and the CEO will review work generally for quality and the achievement of objectives within timescales according to the formal performance appraisal system and informally as required.
COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal
NISA CEO, Board Chair and Directors – to manage the organisation and deliver the operational plan
NISA Staff – to manage operational activities and undertake staff development and performance management
NISA Membership – to generate communication channels and achieve members input into NISA policies and operational activities
COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
External
Contractors – to manage contracts and monitor service provision
STATEMENT
The Operations Manager will be accountable for managing the transition to a new operational structure, embedding robust governance processes and procedures and managing the change in culture within the office.
