Part-Time Regional S&C Coach / Sport Scientist – Pro Football Support

Job Description
Pro Football Support provide Athletic Development and Sport Science Support to young elite academy footballers. We currently work with numerous professional football clubs around the UK providing sport science and strength and conditioning support.
Applications are invited for a paid part-time S&C Coach/Sport Scientist.
The role involves visiting elite UK football academies to undertake benchmark fitness testing as part of a long-running national research project and will provide successful applicants with invaluable experience in the field of young player athletic development.
We are therefore looking to recruit an individual with a strength and conditioning/sport science background, with an appreciation of how physical assessment impacts upon young player development.
The hours available is dependent upon candidate location, willingness/ability to travel and availability but can be up to 30 hours per week.
Although this is a temporary (3 of 12 months) part-time role, further opportunities may be available to successful candidates
Successful applicants will be required to:
Work split shifts within a 5 day period
Deliver on a regular basis standardised testing protocols to U9-U23 elite young players
Plan, record and track each session to allow for individual player development and club records to be kept up-to-date

Educate club staff
Represent/manage/facilitate Pro Football Support at clubs
Provide regular feedback to senior PFS staff

Applicants need:
Minimum of BSc in Sport Science/Strength and Conditioning or related subject
Experience in delivering strength and conditioning / sport science support
Access to own transport / ability to travel without compromising punctuality
Be a well organised individual with excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and unsupervised

Desirable:
In possession of or currently enrolled/plans to enrol on a relevant higher education qualification (e.g. – MSc, MRes, PhD)
In possession of or interest in obtaining a recognised strength and conditioning qualification (e.g. – UKSCA, NSCA)
Coaching qualification in football
