Job Description
British Triathlon is the National Governing Body for Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon in Great Britain, responsible for raising the profile and delivering medal-winning performances and helping everyone discover, enjoy and achieve in triathlon.
Triathlon England is one of the three Home Nations of British Triathlon, the other two being Triathlon Scotland and Welsh Triathlon. The three Home Nation Associations are responsible for all aspects of triathlon in their respective countries, and contribute to the work of British Triathlon.
In the glow of Rio and other recent successes, British Triathlon’s vision is to continue to grow participation in the sport through the delivery of inspirational event opportunities. Key to this are the World Triathlon Series events in Leeds as well as a broader portfolio of domestic elite racing opportunities for all members of the Performance Pathway.
Reporting to the Sport Operations Manager, our Participant Service Support role is the face of British Triathlon and AJ Bell World Triathlon Series Leeds and is the first point of contact for our participants . As such, they are absolutely critical in delivering outstanding customer service and are at the heart of what we do.
You will be a professional and engaging point of contact for participants, striving to improve our participants’ experience of swim, bike, run by delivering excellent customer service. You will provide day-to-day support across the AJ Bell World Triathlon Series internally and external via email, telephone calls, and other digital methods to drive participant satisfaction.
This role will primarily be focused around the delivery of participant services, but you will also be passionate about contributing to the wider strategic aims of the organisation. You will have regular ongoing engagement with participants and other key stakeholders by giving accurate advice and matching participants needs to relevant products and services within the triathlon and multi-sport environment.
You must be available to work throughout the peak event period of 25th May – 19th June 2020 including the weekend of 6/7 June 2020.
The role will be based at the British Triathlon headquarters located at Loughborough University; however, the nature of the role may require some evening and weekend working and occasional travel.
