Job Description
Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club are now recruiting for a Partnership Development Executive to join a new arm of our Commercial Development team. This role is primarily concerned with the sales and development of club partnership and sponsorship activity in order to generate significant new revenues for the club within key partner categories. Our new Partnership Development Executive will be based at the world-class American Express Community Stadium in Brighton, East Sussex.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a proactive and determined approach to the role and be skilled in generating new and relevant leads, through outbound calling, email, face-to-face meetings, networking and business events. Candidates will demonstrate an ability to secure meetings with key decision makers in organisations of all sizes and represent the club in a professional manner with a view to developing client interest in partnership and commercial opportunities with Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club.
The successful candidate will be required to work well with the wider commercial and club team to identify and develop relevant inventory and partnership opportunities that complement our existing inventory portfolio and partners. A creative mind and a sharp attention to detail will be key to success in this area.
Experience and evidenced success with sales and relationship management in a B2B environment is essential, along with excellent communication skills in all respects. You will need to be able to influence and communicate your ideas with your colleagues just as effectively as when presenting in front of key clients so a natural confidence and strong inter-personal skills are desirable attributes in any candidate.
As part of a wider commercial department team there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to become involved in commercial development activities outside of their daily remit, providing opportunities for personal development and influencing the wider success of the club’s commercial activity. Guidance and mentoring will be provided in these instances and the successful candidate would be expected to embrace these opportunities with enthusiasm and a proactive approach.
