Job Description
As part of the club’s trajectory of growth, West Ham United are expanding the Commercial Partnerships Team including the creation of a new position of Partnership Development Executive.
As part of the Commercial team, this role will be crucial in the process of securing new commercial partners for West Ham United on a global scale.
You will be working directly with the club’s Head of Partnership Development and Commercial Development Manager, assisting them in the strategy of identifying, researching and approaching potential new partners and sponsors.
Main Accountabilities
• Research various industry sectors for potential target brands as directed by and in collaboration with the Commercial Development Manager
• Narrow down the target list for each sector based on various factors including size, scale and suitibility of target organisation
• Assist in identyfiying appropriate target industry sectors
• Using various research techniques and appropriate recources find the name and contact details for the best person to approach within each targeted brand
• Investigate the partnership portfolio of other football clubs and sponsors from other relevant sports properties and select potential targets
• Compile all data in a timely and organised fashion for easy use of the Commercial Development Manager and Head of Partnership Development
• Assist in developing bespoke and flexible partnership presentations in keeping with the specific brief from individual companies
• Ensure sufficient due diligence is conducted on all incoming new business opportunities
• Contribute to the development of the partner strategy and process to deliver results in accordance with the Commercial Team’s budgets and targets
• Assist the Commercial Development Manager and Head of Partnership Development in approaching the identified targets, including calling and emailing the appropriate person within the selected brand
• Where appropriate attend initial meetings with brands alongside the Commercial Development Manager and/or Head of Partnership Development
General Club Accountabilities
• To ensure compliance with all relevant Club policies, including health and safety policies
• To ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirement
• To build and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally where appropriate, maintaining a professional image at all times when representing West Ham United Football Club
• To keep confidential any information gained regarding the Club and its personnel
• To maintain a flexible approach to work at all times

Personal Specification
Specific Experience
• Educated to at least degree level
• Track record of analytical and research based work experience
• Past experience of B2B sales including cold-calling
• Understanding of brand dynamics and market trends
• Commercial acumen proven through ability to create and develop strategic plans
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
Desirable Experience
• Strong organisationsal skills and attention to detail
• A natural affinity or passion for football and sport
• Self-motivated, able to work quickly and precisely, multi-task, and respond to a variety of needs, sometimes under pressure
• Planning, systematic and analytical view with respect to delivery of business opportunities
