Job Description
An exciting and challenging short term opportunity at British Basketball as part of a small team to help support the Board in executing the delivery of the new British Basketball Plan – Transforming Basketball in Britain Together 2016-2028.
Job Purpose:
To drive the delivery of all aspects of the performance and commercial elements of the BBF Plan – Transforming Basketball in Britain Together 2016-2028 and achieve all stated outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Influence – Influence key stakeholder groups at CEO and Board level within Performance Sport, Coaching, including UK Sport, Sport England, BOA, EIS, Sports Coach UK, and SRA.
Strategic Coordination – To lead the development and delivery of the BBFs role in relation to performance and commercial activities. To manage the interface between the composite technical parts of the sport, liaising directly with the FIBA, to ensure effective implementation of standards in England. To be responsible for the coordination and administration of the HPG.
World Class Programme – To lead the delivery of the World Class Programme if funded in line with UK Sport requirements and all other UK Sport performance opportunities.
Science & Medicine Specifications – To provide the lead in developing science and medicine support to enhance the performance programme. To provide the lead with anti-doping agencies ensuring that relevant standards and programmes are implemented throughout British programmes where necessary.
Sponsorship/Commercial – To develop a comprehensive asset package and materials to secure and deliver successful sponsorship/commercial agreements across the BBF.
Performance management and monitoring – To ensure effective performance management procedures and practices are in place and to ensure achievement of outcomes.
