Job Description
British Fencing, the National Governing Body for Fencing, is seeking a Performance Co-ordinator to join the World Class Programme (WCP) Fencing team. This role will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the administration of the Fencing WCP. They will contribute to the achievement of the WCP vision, aims, objectives and targets through the following:
• Contribute and assist the Performance Director (PD) and Programme and Logistics Manager in creating a world leading training and support environment that significantly impacts on the preparation of athletes and coaches and makes a key contribution to fencing’s medal performance
• Providing day-to-day administrative and logistical support to the Performance Director and the wider programmes and staff
• Operate as a member of the WCP Performance Team providing the necessary level of support to the Performance Director, key staff and athletes as needed
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
• GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
• Experience in the development and implementation of logistical and administrative procedures for a small sized office
• Experience of working and dealing with confidential or sensitive information
• Demonstrated experience and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
• Good numeracy skills, including the ability to produce basic reports on spreadsheets
• A high level of personal integrity and professionalism with the ability to invoke trust and respect from others
• Highly motivated with a passion for high performance sport
