Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Performance Coach who is highly driven and enthusiastic with experience in working in both elite and amateur sport.
Mission for the role:
To provide a science based coaching experience that delivers measureable results to clients, cultivates a strong sense of community, and drives the Performance Ground values.
Specific Functions:
Performance Development
• To design, implement and educate high quality exercise, rehab and athletic development programmes based around a sound knowledge based on physiology and biomechanics.
• To conduct and monitor testing protocols and data collection for Performance Ground’s physical testing and screenings.
• Use the Performance Ground programme template spreadsheets for efficient and effective monitoring of performance and wellbeing.
• To provide support and motivation to all Performance Ground clients.
• Ensure all aspects of the performance programme meet best practice in areas of ethics, child protection, welfare, health and safety.
• Develop and deliver performance educational content
Personnel & Organisational Management:
• Conduct new client consultations as per standard company procedures.
• Monitor Performance Ground client progressions.
Qualifications:
– Essential
o BSc in Exercise or Sports Science, Strength & Conditioning or equivalent.
o Accreditation from the UKSCA or NSCA or the ability to obtain this within 6 months
o A valid first aid certification, including the use of a defibrillator.
– Desirable
o MSc in Strength and Conditioning or related field
Knowledge and Experience:
• Excellent knowledge of the strength and conditioning requirements of a wide range of sports and the ability to deliver fitness programmes based on your understanding of these needs
• Experience of actively coaching athletes with the aim of achieving a positive performance outcome
• Experience coaching the Olympic lifts, speed, agility and plyometric exercises with an understanding of their relevance and application to sporting performance
