Performance Data Analyst (Working with British Shooting) – English Institute of Sport

Job Description
Working with the Head of Performance Support, the British Shooting high performance teams and the EIS technical interface to develop and deliver world leading performance analysis services to enhance and impact performance.
As a member of the EIS and British Shooting team, the post holder will:
Provide world leading performance analysis services that are aligned to ‘what it takes to win’ (WITTW) within the sport.
Use objective data and information (video and numerical) across the performance cycle to enhance the coaching process, impact performance decisions and improve athlete’s performance.
Capture, prepare and analyse video and data pre, during and post training and competition. Please note the role will require a significant commitment to the demands of ‘front line’ delivery including extensive travel to major international competitions.
Deliver pioneering analytical solutions that answer targeted performance projects
Manage and develop comprehensive performance databases
Consistently produce effective and compelling analytical solutions that land the message with end users
Work collaboratively within the EIS, with external partners and UK Sport to meet the needs of performance and amplify the impact of performance analysis support.
Work within the rules of the relevant governing body’s (eg. NGB, BOA, EIS) Code of Conduct, standards and guidelines.
Where appropriate identify and facilitate appropriate communication methods, including workshops, to inform and educate athletes, coaches and Performance Directors in the effective use of performance analysis
We would expect the individual to have a minimum of 1 years’ applied work experience working in an elite sports environment. However, this does not preclude applicants without this experience from applying if they feel they have the necessary knowledge and skills.
