At the EIS we think of ourselves as the team behind the team and deliver a range of performance impacting sport science and sport medicine services to over 40 Olympic and Paralympic sports along with a select number of non-Olympic sports, including Premier League Football, Premiership Rugby Union, Rugby League and Cricket.
The services we provide aim to deliver performance improvements and are guided by the technical programme needs of Performance Directors, coaches and athletes. The mix of practitioners we select to work with a sport is based on delivering the precise blend of skills and expertise to meet these requirements and contribute to performance improvements.
PERFORMANCE LEAD
Base: Flexible, but main EIS site Sheffield
Salary: £49,970– £68,001 p.a. pro rata
Hours: Up to 26 per week
Your role:
• Acting as the Performance Lead to a portfolio of Olympic and Paralympic sports, including Winter sports.
• Ensuring the impact of the EIS’s provision of performance support to a portfolio of sports, through identification and monitoring of key performance priorities, technical plans and providing solutions to performance questions.
• Supporting the development and transfer of applied knowledge within sports to drive practitioner performance impact.
You should have:
• A qualification at graduate degree level (or equivalent) specialising in sports coaching, sports science or sports medicine, or the support and preparation of elite athletes.
• OR high level applied coaching or NGB coaching qualifications relevant to high performance sport.
• Experience as part of a coaching and/or multi-disciplinary team contributing to Olympic or Paralympic medal winning performances (or Professional sport equivalent experience).
