Job Description
Hours: 18.5 hours per week, the hours will be flexible to meet the requirements of the role.
Location: Working from home with a national remit
British Gymnastics are developing the Performance Pathway Programme to align Regional Squad activity to current National Squad and Podium Programmes. To support the delivery of the programme we are looking to recruit a part time member of staff to cover Tumbling.
The Role
The successful candidates will report to the national Performance Pathway Officer and will be responsible for co-ordinating a programme of activities, including:
• Coordinating a programme/calendar of events for Tumbling
• Ensuring all the appropriate resources and contractors are in place to support the delivery of the programme
• Producing competition notifications of Tier 1 and Tier 2 squad selection and criteria, camp/competition details etc.
• Being the first point of contact for all Tier 1 and Tier 2 squad members, their coaches and parents
• Co-ordinating the logistics for the squad camps and activities covered by the programme e.g. organising gymnastic facilities, equipment, medical cover etc.
• Collating scores from trials/control competitions, updating records, producing ranking lists etc.
• Co-ordinating approved expenditure in relation to the programme
• Supporting ad hoc projects to develop the program and resources
• Attending and contributing at team and national meetings etc.
The Person
The successful candidate will have good communication and customer service skills; a good working knowledge of IT systems and databases; be able to demonstrate competent administration skills including planning, organising and attention to detail.
Ideally candidates will have an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of gymnastics disciplines, competition rules, regulations, activities and elements.
It is anticipated that the successful candidates will work from home, will have a full driving licence/own transport and be flexible to attend meetings and events across the country, and meetings at BG’s head office at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.
